Is this really the world’s first fully recyclable crisp packet?
We believe so!
In the UK alone, over 8 billion packs are crisps are produced each year and the overwhelming majority of them are either littered, incinerated or sent to landfill. Most crisp packets are made from multi-layered plastic which is extremely difficult to recycle and must be recycled “at large supermarkets”. What most people don’t know, is that even if they are returned to store for recycling, they won’t be recycled as the material they are made from is difficult – if not impossible to recycle.
After years of development, we’ve created the World’s first fully recyclable paper crisp packet that can be recycled in the paper waste stream. Our packs can be recycled in the same way as newspapers, magazines or cardboard.
How do I recycle the crisp packets?
It’s simple! Just pop it into your usual paper recycling bin once you’ve devoured the crisps. No return to store nonsense, no faff—just recycle as you would any other paper!
Why aren’t all crisp packets recyclable like yours?
Traditional crisp packets are made from multiple layers of plastic and aluminium film, which are impossible to separate and recycle effectively. After years of R&D, we’ve developed a paper-based alternative that protects the crisps just as well but can be recycled like paper.
Do the crisps stay fresh in the paper packaging?
Yes, we use a unique combination of paper, Hydropol™ and a microscopically thin layer of vacuum deposited aluminium to ensure the crisps stay fresh and “crisp”!
Are the crisp packets biodegradable?
The best way to dispose of the packet once you’ve finished the crisps is to put it in the paper recycling, to ensure the precious paper fibres can be turned back into new paper. However, our packaging is also biodegradable! So if it does end up in the wrong bin, gets littered or finds its way into landfill, it will biodegrade naturally in a matter of weeks.
Where do you deliver to?
Currently we ship to any mainland U.K. address (excluding the Scottish Highlands). Regrettably, we are currently unable to ship internationally.
When will I receive my order?
If you order before 12pm Monday – Friday, it will be dispatched on the same day on a next day DPD delivery service. If you order after 12pm, at the weekend or on a bank holiday, your order will be dispatched the next working day.
